Fleet Manager — Trucking | U.S. Market

Hey Roger Smith is a dispatch and fleet support company serving U.S. owner-operators and carriers in the trucking and car-hauling industry.

We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Fleet Manager to oversee the maintenance, condition, safety, and performance of trucks and drivers within our clients' fleets.

Your main responsibility is simple:

Keep every truck safe, maintained, compliant, and on the road.

What You'll Do

Truck Maintenance & Preventive Maintenance

• Monitor the maintenance status of every truck and trailer in the assigned fleet
• Track mileage and schedule preventive maintenance before service becomes overdue
• Schedule oil changes, inspections, tire services, brake services, repairs, and other required maintenance
• Coordinate appointments with repair shops, dealerships, mobile mechanics, tire shops, and other service providers
• Identify recurring mechanical problems and recommend preventive solutions

PTI / Truck Inspections

• Perform and coordinate regular PTIs (PRE-TRIP Inspections)
• Review truck and trailer condition with drivers
• Identify mechanical, safety, or maintenance issues before they become major problems
• Ensure identified defects are documented and repaired

Driver Performance Monitoring

• Monitor driver performance using Samsara and other fleet-management / telematics tools
• Review speeding, harsh braking, harsh acceleration, unsafe driving, idling, and other driver behavior
• Monitor Hours of Service and relevant ELD information
• Review safety alerts and driver performance reports
• Identify high-risk driving behavior and address issues directly with drivers

What We Expect:

• Experience in trucking/logistics OR claims/roadside assistance
• Excellent English and Russian (spoken & written) — must be clear under pressure
• Ability to make fast, practical decisions
• Highly organized — you don’t lose details in chaos
