Hey Roger Smith is a dispatch and fleet support company serving U.S. owner-operators and carriers in the car-hauling industry.
We are looking for a highly motivated Recruiter to find, qualify, and onboard professional drivers and owner-operators for our carrier clients.
This is a results-driven recruiting position. We need someone who knows how to source candidates, communicate effectively, handle objections, follow up consistently, and turn qualified leads into successful hires.
About the Role
You will own the recruiting process end-to-end:
Sourcing → Contacting → Qualifying → Interviewing → Follow-up → Closing → Onboarding
Your goal is simple: build a consistent pipeline of qualified drivers and turn them into successful hires.
What You'll Do
- Recruit CDL drivers, car-hauler drivers, and owner-operators for U.S. trucking companies
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, Facebook groups, databases, referrals, cold outreach, and other channels
- Process and convert inbound leads generated by the marketing team
- Conduct initial screening and qualification calls
- Build relationships with candidates and maintain consistent follow-up
- Handle objections and keep candidates engaged throughout the hiring process
- Coordinate interviews, documentation, and onboarding with carrier management
- Work closely with the marketing team to improve recruiting campaigns and lead quality
What We Need From You
- Trucking / logistics recruiting experience is a strong advantage
- Understanding of the U.S. trucking industry is preferred
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills
- Experience working with CRM or ATS systems
- Ability to manage multiple candidates simultaneously without losing follow-ups
- Strong organizational and time-management skills

Compensation
Average earnings: ~$2,500 USD/month
- Competitive base salary + performance-based bonuses
- Your income grows directly with your recruiting results and successful hires
- Strong performers can earn $2,500+ per month
