About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Product & Project Manager to join a growing team developing an Energy Management System (EMS) for the energy sector.
The platform connects physical infrastructure—including controllers, inverters, and telemetry—with software supporting complex energy operations and market requirements.
This role combines product management, business analysis, and project delivery. You will work closely with the Founder, customers, and engineering team to identify opportunities, validate solutions, define requirements, and deliver features that create measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Discovery

  • Partner with the Founder to define product strategy, commercial priorities, and measurable objectives.
  • Conduct market research, customer interviews, and ongoing B2B product discovery.
  • Identify customer needs, test feature hypotheses, and validate solutions through rapid prototypes and feedback.
  • Translate discovery findings into roadmap decisions and adjust priorities based on evidence and business impact.
  • Backlog Ownership & Business Analysis
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, balancing customer needs, commercial goals, and engineering capacity.
  • Break down validated opportunities into structured epics, detailed functional specifications, and clear acceptance criteria.
  • Work with technical specialists to clarify data models, API interactions, business logic, and dependencies.
  • Adapt requirements and scope to the stage of development, supporting both rapid experimentation and the stabilization of core platform features.
  • Maintain a prioritized backlog with sufficient detail to support upcoming sprints.

Project Management & Delivery

  • Coordinate delivery across infrastructure, cybersecurity, backend, frontend, QA, and SRE.
  • Manage timelines, dependencies, risks, and scope to maintain a predictable release cycle.
  • Collaborate with an engineering team using AI-assisted development, agent workflows, and Spec-Driven Development.
  • Assess delivery capacity and identify opportunities to improve execution through automation.
  • Validate completed features against business requirements and user needs before release.
  • Gather customer feedback after delivery and use it to guide further improvements.

Required Experience and Skills

  • 6+ years of experience in technical product or project management, with demonstrated ownership of both product discovery and delivery.
  • Experience in energy or another complex technical domain, such as industrial automation, telecom, or logistics and supply chain.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate market opportunities into product direction, measurable objectives, and actionable requirements.
  • Proven experience conducting B2B customer discovery, identifying user needs, and validating solutions.
  • Hands-on experience owning product roadmaps, prioritizing backlogs, and developing detailed functional specifications.
  • Strong technical fluency: ability to read API documentation, understand data models, discuss system logic, and manage technical dependencies.

Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and taking features from concept to release.

  • Professional written and spoken English, preferably B2–C1.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with workflow automation, rapid UX prototyping, or AI/LLM agent orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as CrewAI or LangGraph, or with Spec-Driven Development.
  • Understanding of energy-sector concepts such as grid topology, balancing markets, peak shaving, and telemetry processing.
  • Exposure to critical infrastructure regulations or cybersecurity standards, including NIS2 or IEC 62443.

Your Approach

  • Take ownership of ambiguous problems and turn them into clear decisions and practical next steps.
  • Balance strategic thinking with attention to functional and technical detail.
  • Treat engineers as partners in shaping solutions and defining scope.
  • Adapt your approach to support both fast hypothesis testing and disciplined production delivery.
  • Prioritize customer value and measurable progress.
  • Make timely decisions and refine them as new evidence becomes available.

Initial Priorities

  • During your first three months, you will focus on:
  • Aligning product strategy and measurable objectives with the Founder and business priorities.
  • Establishing a repeatable process connecting customer discovery, functional requirements, and engineering delivery.
  • Demonstrating how user feedback informs roadmap and backlog decisions.
  • Building a clear coordination rhythm across engineering teams.
  • Preparing and maintaining a development-ready backlog covering at least two upcoming sprints.

Working Conditions

  • Remote collaboration from Moldova, Romania, or Ukraine.
  • An opportunity to shape an EMS product and contribute to the growth of its engineering team.
  • Close collaboration with the Founder and senior technical specialists.
  • An engineering environment using AI-assisted development and automation.
  • Compensation discussed during the interview process.
  • Three-month probation period.
